Dr. McNamara received his D.D.S. from the University of Washington in 2005. He then completed an AEGD residency program through the VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas and worked as a general dentist for two years. He returned for endodontic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio after developing a passion for the detailed work of Endodontics.

He has been practicing microsurgical Endodontics in Washington since 2010 and is proficient with all phases of endodontics including surgical retreatment (Apicoectomy). Dr. McNamara utilizes current technology including microscopes, digital radiographs and CBCT (3D) imaging which aid in diagnosis/prognosis and allow him to practice at the highest level.

Dr. McNamara is involved with many affiliations and is Past President of the Washington State Association of Endodontists. He completed his Board Certification with the American Board of Endodontics in 2015 and is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. He also holds an affiliate faculty position at the University of Washington.

When not at the office, Dr. McNamara enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife stay busy chasing after their two boys. Their family is usually found outdoors enjoying the beauty the Northwest has to offer. They enjoy hiking and camping during the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Other interests of Dr. McNamara are golfing, photography and cooking.
